Bohemian Shepherd

The Bohemian Shepherd is a sheep herding dog originating from the Czech Republic. Since 2019, the Bohemian Shepherd has been provisionally recognized by the Fédération Cynologique Internationale (FCI).

Bohemian Shepherds are known for their intelligence, agility, and friendly nature, making them excellent working dogs and loyal companions. They have a medium-sized, well-proportioned build with a dense double coat that is typically black with tan markings. Their expressive eyes and alert ears give them an intelligent and attentive appearance. Regular grooming is required to keep their coat healthy and free of mats.

These dogs are highly trainable and excel in various activities, including herding, obedience, agility, and search and rescue. Bohemian Shepherds are known for their strong work ethic and eagerness to please, making training a rewarding experience for both the dog and the owner. They are also known for their friendly and social disposition, getting along well with children and other pets when properly socialized.

Due to their high energy levels and intelligence, Bohemian Shepherds require regular physical exercise and mental stimulation to stay happy and healthy. They thrive in environments where they have a job to do or can engage in activities that challenge their mind and body. With their loyal, friendly, and versatile nature, Bohemian Shepherds make excellent pets for active families and individuals who can provide the attention, training, and care they need.
